These can be added aftermarket as well.
BEDSTEP2â„¢ | AMP Research
I also have one under the bumper that makes it WAY easier to get into / out of the bed.

I have the AMP BedStep, too. It really helps getting into the bed of the truck especially since I added the leaf springs to beef up the rear suspension which made it even higher off the ground. Very good quality and a permanent installation. The only negative is that you need the clean the snow and ice from it regularly in the winter to make sure it doesn't get frozen in the up position.

I'm not old but only 5' 8" and those would be really handy on these tall trucks.

We had those on our King Ranch (AND the tailgate step with "Old Guy handle" as well )
Don't know how I could have gotten along without them! Always had folks coming over to the truck when I was using them and wanting to know where I got them -- good to see that they are available aftermarket now (thanks for the tip azjerry!)

Whoa!
I'm 6-4, and it lays under the toolbox driver side. Used often!
And please keep in mind, I paid 30.00$ for this on sale! Regular 50.00$.
And I've had a few step sides!(sorry, "style sides) Lol!
Just went to amp site. Rather buy a tuner!!

Stretch!! Lol!
I look at it, turn my head and stretch, feel for it! Lol!
Little to high for under hood fluid checks for me, but the advertising has a pic of it on a KW, and a farm tractor!!

Really short 5-1, not so old. But I'll get one of these for scraping/cleaning the windshield. Have the extended nerf bars for the front of the truck bed. Buckstop bumper lets me reach the motor. My TV, my patrol vehicle next to it is a stock 2013 Ford Expedition. . My wife has a Nissan Armada, so maybe I should get 2 or 3 of these things.

I have the cab steps, not the extended. Think wife videoed me , one foot on the step, one foot on the tire, trying to unhitch!

I carry a plastic milk carton in the bed of my truck to hold gas and chlorine bottles when I need them refilled. I leave it in the truck all the time now that I figured out it makes a great, lightweight step. I'm 6'1". It's tall enough for me to easily reach and the price was right!

Yep!!
I'm a firm believer in milk crates! I've got two of the 6gallon crates in the RV.
Set the camper up, pull them out, slide them under the camper. Handy!!!!
But they're not as tall as the step.

Have one of those hanging steps myself. Best thing for reaching the 5er hitch and into the tool box. Well worth the price.

I just grab 4 Lynx blocks and put them next to the rear tire to insert the push pin in my copy of the Butch Bed Saver. Otherwise the 10 Lynx blocks are just along for the ride.
