Thanks for sharing this mod. The pictures make the post so much clearer.

I'll have to take a look at ours, but I feel another mod coming.

Toilet Paper-Proper Hanging Technique

Judyhaff. Please refer to Seth Wheeler's diagram showing toilet paper end going over the top. The rolled TP was patented 12-22-1891 by Mr. Wheeler. End of discussion as scholars look to this diagram as definitive proof that "over the top" is the proper way to dispense the roll.

One of my best modifications

Unless you have a cat.
(Even though we have two cats, we still orient the roll the proper way.)

Sept 15,1891 according to the patent.

Finally - proof to show DW that over-the-top is correct!
It won't matter, since I'm a guy I'm always wrong.

Very impressed! I had no idea that men would be interested in which way a toilet paper roll hangs

By the way, good job on the mod!

Who cares as long as it's on there. Or just go back to using the Sears catalog, read and wipe

Interesting, useless info, that is unless you don't like spiders.

Another reason to roll off the top here in Florida is as a 1st responder I have been to several calls where people have been bit by a spider who had hidden up under the fold. Every time I have noted the the paper was rolled under.

When the paper is rolled over the top, the spider drops down to the floor but when it is rolled under, the spider is on the top of the paper and he drops on your wrist. Ouch, a bite.

Was bored at the campground, so googled for a local Home Depot. Found this dispenser there (New Hampshire) for $13.99. Will be doing this mod as soon as we get home later in the week.
