opening the under side

After talking to a Rv shop I got pretty worried about what was under the unit. After removing the curtain I found a few things that bothered me. First was the welds on the water tank brackets, Second was how all the wires and duct work was rubbing on every cross member. First thing I did was drill and bolt some angle iron onto the frame and the tank brackets next The tank could move side to side 1 inch. I installed two strips of 1/2 inch plywood to hold it tight. Next I wrapped all the hoses and wires with foam pipe insulation. Then tied all the hoses and wires up with wire ties. Now on to the last thing he said. That none of the new Rv are sealed. They come in after 4 or 5 years with all kinds of water damage. Said they do not seal the screws and water comes right in he recommended that I remove the seals and install butyl tape and reinstall. Now that might be a huge job.

If u have a storage compartment, take down the wall and look behind at all the mess, nothing organized.
