We packed up today for Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, AL. We're heading down tomorrow morning. The fan was one of the first things we added to our regular stuff.

It will be a good mosquito repellent too, due to they are not good flyers, I throw an industrial fan in the back of the truck for the heat and mosquitos.

We use one of these for cooling both inside and outside. It really moves some air.

That $17.00 box fan doesn't give you cooling mist.

If I was trying to go "simple and inexpensive" we'd be camping in a tent.

I'm all about comfort.
I can spend money on comfort or leave it for the kids to fight over. Dang sure can't take it with me.

"cooling mist"
Be that what ya'll call Canadian whiskey?

And your right, but I found out it waters down the drinks to an unacceptable level!

I'd rather have dry air moving around, the misting fans remind me of swamp coolers and leave me feeling damp and uncomfortable.

Dry air does not water down the drinks.....

In Florida, there's no such thing as dry air. Better to be damp, cooler and somewhat comfortable than to be humid, hot and very uncomfortable.
