Outdoor kitchen refrigerator

Had the outdoor refer ( electric only unit) go bad after 2 seasons. While replacing I noticed that FR had a vent pass through only type going from outdoor kitchen, in a slideout to interior of camper. Removed that plastic vent and installed a fan. Over the opening. Hoping that will allow for better compressor cooling. I think the valve within Compressor overheated prematurely due to confined space, time will tell if it was A fluke or this may help extend life of the replacement. Either way Fan was 12.00 on Amazon and added a receptacle for it. Click image for larger version

Nice mod. You're probably on the right track because excessive heat and not enough venting can kill a fridge.
