outside shower rod mod help needed

I'm looking for anyone that has created an outside shower rod mod for HW296. We are new to trailer camping and my husband can't see us using the shower in the camper. Any suggestions and pictures would be wonderful. Looking forward to our first week long trip in our new camper.

The outside showers are more of a rinsing off, than a full blown "butt nekkid" type of shower. However, you can get a portable "shower tent" and use the shower that way for full privacy.

Thanks AquaMan. I totally agree with you, however he didn't like the "shower tent" thing either.

Sounds like he's up the well known tributary without the proper means of locomotion then.

I thought only kids didn't want to take a bath?

So what's wrong with the inside shower that he doesn't think can be used?

He feels the indoor shower is too small for an adult to shower in. He actually feels the whole bathroom is too small for an adult. I understand where he is coming from, but its camping life not home. If you ask me the bathroom/shower is huge compared to when we were tent camping.

When I need to use the outside shower on ours, we hang a tarp between our 2 slides and a small blue one on the ground. Not meant for full blown shower but works to get cleaned up after going to the beach. This gets put away as soon as everything is dry.

When I was a kid, our trailer was so small, our bathroom was a Wet Bath. What that means is the toilet was in the shower, literally. Everything got wet and you stood right in front of the toilet. No place to turn around. So we used the bathhouse 99.9999% of the time.

Now taking showers outdoors, in a campground, the gray water police will be paying you a visit!

I think you should try the shower before saying you can't.

Our pup has a wet bath in it. That is why he was looking to shower outside. I guess he feels he doesn't fit. To be honest, he really didn't want a bathroom in the first place, now he is liking the toilet. I think it just takes time to adjust to a wet bath.

Great point about the grey water police. I never even thought about that being a problem. I'm so used to tent camping and it not being too much of an issue.

There are round shower curtains. I'm sure you can hook it up to a camper and use when needed and then put it away. Just be sure to get a thick curtain Save the rest of us from laughing when we can see through the curtain. LOL

I guess we are pretty lucky to be in camp grounds that have showers. If I am boondocking I am not around other campers who cares no one is going to see him. If they do they probably have seen it before. I ran a campground was cleaning rest rooms this lady walked in said she couldn't wait that's what she told me.

Not a good idea to be double posting this in 2 different threads. Maybe Mods can combine.
