Outside TV????

Any one gone ahead and installed an outdoor tv set up yet? I think I'll go with a 20" LCD and the Thule mount looks good. Any ideas ???? Got to be able to watch the TV outside right?

I just did the mod to my Wildcat. It was relatively simple. I went the Thule route so I can move the tv from the bedroom to the outside and back. I put in a cable outlet outside and receptacle both next to the Thule mount. Worked great. I don't have any pictures yet but I may take some tomorrow and post them.

That's what I'm going to do then. It seems like a really good set up. I got jealous walking by all these $$$$ motorhomes with they're LCD's hanging out the side and I thought, I could have the same thing with out spending $ 150,000!!!!! Thanks for the reply!

I went out this morning and snapped a couple of shots. The first one is the Thule attachment pod with a receptacle and tv jack next to it. Second picture is the other Thule attachment pod in the bedroom with the tv bracket and tv. It quickly unsnaps and unplugs to be moved outside or back inside.

Nice work man! That's what I'm talking about. I noticed you left the height sort of low also. I noticed in Thule add they had the darn thing up by the awning.........I like stiff drinks not stiff necks!!!!

I put it low for easy viewing. Higher would have been nice so you don't bump it but you could set a small table under it to keep people away from it. All of your big rigs have them low so that's the way I went.

Sure is nice to sit outside and watch tv. It's great to while your grilling to be able to watch to wile away the time.

Did the outside TV mod. Twenty inch LCD with built in DVD player. Morning coffee and news watching is just not the same when you can do it outside. We can also sit around the camp fire and watch movies. Here's a link http://pictures.aol.com/galleries/cpo1986 to picture of my mods.

I guess I'll just use a stud finder to locate a solid place to mount it?

I did the same thing this spring, mounted a 20" LCD TV on the bed room wall. I found a wooden stud just in the right place, right above the fold down table. The bracket I used looks like yours, but I bought mine at Wal-Mart. The only thing I had to do was move the fold down table down about 4". I use the table to hold either Direct-TV receiver and or DVD player.

Thumbs up

Well, I got done last night! It was really easy to do and it only took about 15 minutes. I haven't hung the TV on it yet because you need to let the epoxy dry for at least 24 hours but it seems like the ticket. The mount is made by Thule and if you search Thule LCD TV Post it will pop up every where. I got mine slighty used on ebay for 50 bucks. I'll get some pics this weekend and post'em up.
