I just ordered the Oxygenics from Amazon. I'd like to turn my faucet over like youroo's . Does anyone have pics of the shower faucet removed so I can see what the connections look like?

DW has her shower before I do. This shower head ensures that I too get hot water for my shower. With this shower head when the younger generation join us, it is the 4th person who starts to run out of hot water. Highly recommend.

Thanks, Youroo. Is everything plastic so no Teflon tape needed?

Ed,

We use the cutoff valve to save water. I was a high pressure shower to massage my old bones

Besides, there is a fallacy about high pressure "Wasting" water. In fact, the higher pressure rinses the soap off faster and more completely than low pressure water.

Now...if you stay in the shower for 20 min that's a whole 'nother story

I had the same issue. So I sent a email to the company and here is there response -

Thank you for your inquiry regarding your Oxygenics Smart Pause. Our Smart Pause when engaged, is designed to allow a small stream of water to flow thru. With shut off valves or devices that shut off the water completely, they allow hot water to build up in the lines which is then forced to the front of the shower head and when resuming showering there is a potential risk of receiving a blast of really hot water. Your Smart Pause is performing as designed.

I didn't replace the shower head holder so it's not a perfect fit but does fine and doesn't fall out, even during transit. Put the Soft Pause button in a couple years ago and with the Adjustable Water Pressure Regulator and also removing the water "saver" in the hose, we have a very nice showering experience. I didn't have to use plumbers tape but I did.

Here is pics of the regulator, shower head and soft pause.

It's a definite YES on the upgraded shower head. Installed one in our last RV and it worked great. Shower was unusable without it. New RV came with one. Suggested to friends and they love it, too.

Have the same complaint, didn't get the hot water blast on the one I took out. I don't care for the small stream. So far not impressed with it. I may just have to see if it can be altered and eliminated.

After all the reviews I also had to give this a try. Replaced a decent 5 setting shower head in my Coachman 360 IBL. Before I got the Oxygenic I added a shutoff valve to the shower head line. The first time showering I turned the water back on to rinse and it burnt the #&^@ out of me! The Oxygenic on / off valve doesn't have the hot water issue. +1 for the Oxygenic shower head. It seems to have more rinsing ability than the OEM head.

DW likes it too, but said the water splatters everywhere.

OC, It's those smarty pants engineers that are the blame. They design things that are good, but tinkered with it another 2 years to improve it. All they did was job security and a bonus to do what? Screw it up. Darn engineers!!

Further to my earlier posts about flipping the shower faucet upside down so the outlet is on the bottom and the handles turn properly, I found this picture on the Love Your RV Blog...

I guess I'm going to upset Youroo here but I turn the water till it's hot. Doesn't matter to me whether I turn it left/right, it all works out. And with the hose on top, I don't lose that extra 8" or so of length that I can use on moving the hose around.

Just not worth the effort for me.

Sorry Youroo!
