Cool I will have to give it a try.

I haven't seen that name at lowes but just a shower head with a on/off lever.

Youroo, if you read my post, you would have seen that a hose shut off, like the one you installed, is a 100% shutoff. You can tell your valve is for a garden hose (cold water) appllication, because your internals are black plastic. Valves that handle hot and cold cannot be 100% shut off due to potential scalding issues. Hope that made it more clear.

The Shut Off Valve

Thought about buying this from CW. Smart Pause - White - Oxygenics 29742 - Shower - Camping World

Does it connect to the faucet end of the hose or the shower head end?

And is this or something similar to what everybody has?

Sorry to spoil your theory but the valve I have will (NOT) thread onto a Garden hose! It threads onto a Standard Shower Hose! It shuts off (100%) and it works on Hot & Cold water! And Yes I can read! Youroo!!

Danco 89171 Shut-Off Shower Valve, Chrome Crome Amazon.

I installed mine at the shower valve discharge. Much easier to get to and operate.

Home Depot/Lowes or Amazon. I had issues with the push button style fitting and had to go to one that turns.

This is the one that we use:
Danco 89171 Shut-Off Shower Valve, Chrome - Faucet Valves - Amazon.com

For the push-button style shutoff, the plastic "dome" that screwed the showerhead to the faucet ended up overlapping enough that I couldn't easily push the button.

Maybe it was just my setup/issue as I see lots of other people use them.

So, you attached the valve to the faucet end of the hose instead of the showerhead end?

Makes sense to me, looks like that would be a lot to keep up with it next to the showerhead.

Would you still recommend it?

Yeah, mine is at the faucet- easier to turn. I tried the push button at both ends and it just didn't work for me. The turning one from Amazon that I linked to works just fine.

I love the Oxygenics showerhead. I'm sure by now you've heard the stories of my long luscious Flabio-like mane. I need all of the help I can get to get through my full head of thick, rich, beautiful hair.

I guess I got a little confused, the pic you posted didn't look like the link to the item on Amazon.
I tried, in the past, to turn the end of the hose connected to the faucet on my Oxygenics and I always turn it too much and I have a 3 Stooges incident in the shower!

I'm going to look into this valve or something else real soon.

Thanks for the info.
