I like the Old Coots set up easy to do with a door switch. He just used those strains of led lights. More then enough light, pretty clever for an old man with CRS. Probably even cheaper then the pucks. Don't need to buy batteries.

Hmmmm....I did a test of the puck light I was talking about. It did NOT work when it was dark. In fact, it needed quite a bit of light to pop on; however, you can always just push the light itself and it will pop on...but then it won't be automatic. Darn it! Wish I would have thought of it not working! LOL!! Never even crossed my mind. We will still get use of them.

Wow that is a great mod. Mine is like a dark cave you cant find anything. I did make some extra shelves out of that white laminated board yo get at Home Depot. What did you mean when you said it was accessible through the rear access door? Did you mean on the outside of the coach?

Pantry Lights

Ok, I couldnt let someone out do me so I set out to do my own pantry lights. I used a strip LED light that has a 3m double stickk tape on the back side. It is from wholesale-leds.com. I also used a micro switch to turn the lights on and off when the dor opens. I drilled a hole into the bottom of the cabinet from the outside refrigerator access panel. Using a volt meter I located a DC connection, loosened the screws and attached my wires. Amazing difference.

Confused on LEDs? Can I purchase LEDs for the fixtures I have? If so, where can they be purchased. Do not what to do any modifications, not in my skill set!

Pantry Lights

There is a pick of the micro switch but hard to make it out. Attached is a new one in the package. It is a nice switch because you can wire it 2 ways. So when door opens light comes on or when the door closes the light comes on, depending on your application. Click image for larger version

Light Power Source

I got the power from the refrigerator access panel on the outside of the rig. I used a volt meter to find a 12 volt DC source. It turned out to be that little plastic coupler that had 2 wires coming from it. You can see my wires they are red and black. I simply loosened the screws holding down the green and white wire and inserted my wires and re tightened. The green wire was the positive.
