Pantry lights

We have battery operated puck lights in pantry,anyone run lights in theirs? Maybe something that come on when door opened? 12v?

This is what I did with a strip of led lights wired to a micro switch to turn them on/off with the door.

Got the power from the back of the refrigerator. Drilled a hole in the bottom shelf into the refrigerator compartment that is accessible thru the rear access door.

the stove vent hood is next to my pantry would that work as power source?

Any 12v source will work, the stove vent hood would be perfect.

Old coot. Where did you get the l.e.d. Strips and the door switch this is a great and needed mod

LED lights and micro switches all came from eBay. Lights are the same as used under the awnings, but white ones would work just fine.

OC, how did you get Turbs into the closet to ck if the lights go out when the door is closed? Ha! I thought the vent fan was 120 vac but that will change per rig, I am sure. Oh yeah - I guess Turbs is out of the closet by now!! Ha x2!!
