No, DW wants to leave it like it came for now. We'll see.

We got a new ad from Bed Bath and Beyond this week. It has some really good organizing stuff, basket drawers, clear containers, etc that might be useful. Also a $5 coupon on the back I picked up a fridge thermometer, some scented contact paper to line my new closet shelves, and a new scent for the wax warmer from Yankee Candle called Treehouse Memories ~ nice woodsey scent

and after one weekend in the new camper, I have now purchased the chrome slideout shelves from Lowes and am also going to be getting some white wire basket pullouts for the top shelf of the pantry. I also have a task to find some way to add some electrical outlets on the outside wall behind the sink/stove.
Shop Rev-A-Shelf 2-Tier Metal Pull Out Cabinet Basket at Lowes.com
ClosetMaid 11 in. 2-Tier Cabinet Organizer-3608 at The Home Depot

I like all these ideas but in our Wildcat, becasue of the knob the pantry doors do not open a full 90 degrees. This means I need pull-outs that are only about 10" wide. Looks like the only alternative is to add weight to the RV by constructing my own pull-outs out of wood.

Can someone tell me what size screws are used when attaching the bars to back wall of pantry for the wire shelves? I want to hang some this spring and don't know how deep I can go with the screws. Just wondering what everyone else has used.

If you arent inclined to modify the basket sliders at lowes, etc. I would suggest checking online at the container store. I saw lots of great things there (if you're willing to pay for them)

If you are concerned about it you might consider attaching to the bottom of the cabinet instead. Mine are just box construction cabinets so I screwed into the rear cabinet support across the back edge. I did the same at front. Just a thought.

What did you use for the shelf support? Did you just screw in blocks for the shelves?

Another way would be to mount your door to the pull outs ( remove the hinges If you check kitchen designs some pantry's are made this way. This effectively makes a large vertical drawer front.

Sorry late reply. Tied up at work.
I used the Lowes brand shelves and they have a thin metal bracket along the front and back that you use to mount to cabinet bottom. Obviously if you are using another type that may not be an option.

Live and learn - I put in the 2-tier version of the Lowe's shelf linked just above. The upper shelf has our liquer and cooking oil, etc. on it (taller shelf). My first driving with the shelf in place was just the 10 minutes from the storage lot to our house. When I got in the trailer to start loading stuff in for the weekend, I found both shelves fully extended and the cabinet door in pieces. The part attached to the hinges was still attached and the part with the handle was on the floor. Kinda came apart where the panel was glued together. I've got a temp fix in place (I hope it works) with an eye-bolt in the side shelf support and some stiff wire through it and around the top shelf frame, plus a metal shim holding the lower shelf to the upper shelf. Thinking about drilling through the shelf guide into the side support and putting a pin of some kind in for travel. I've re-glued the door and it is almost good as new. I'll re-mount it at the campground this evening. sigh

Sorry to hear that. I use baby cabinet locks to keep doors from opening. Cheap and quick. Just food for thought.

it's really more that I have to stop the sliding shelves from sliding. They are only about 1/4" from the door, but I still wouldn't it banging into it. thanks though
