Progressive 50 amp EMS install

Another item in my mods for 2015 is install a Progressive 50 amp EMS / surge protector. I wanted to place the unit in a location where I could easily access it, should an item need replacing. In my Coachman 360IBL the 50 amp service is accessible underneath the stairs. I freed up enough slack in the service line to mount it there without adding additional wire.

50 AMP SERVICE LINES ARE A PAIN!!! Super stiff, difficult to cut, etc.

Picture 1: Take off the 2nd step vertical front cover. Service line can be found here.
Picture 2: I've cut the service line.
Picture 3: Ready to install.
Picture 4: Inbound lines ready.
Picture 5: Location under stairs.
Picture 6: Fully mounted and ready EMS.
Picture 7: Bunkhouse remote head unit. I attempted to run the cable through the wall but there is a board that prevented this. I ran the wires externally in the bunk room. I wanted the doors to properly close around the remote head which required me to recess the mount. I liked the idea of the remote head easily accessible, but yet not flashing bright lights all the time. This location allows me to close the doors. I also added a battery voltage monitor.
Picture 8: Remote head. (I'm going to take the white caulking off because it turned out horrible)

did you figure out the jumper thing for the delay? i even called them and still could not understand where the jumper was to adjust the kick back on time cycle and said hell with it and just installed it. Yes the 50 amp wires suck trying to get the wires in the terminals. Looks good nice clean install

I left it as is (15 second delay). My coach has new enough AC / Thermostat that will delay starting the ac compressor in the event of a power failure. Older coaches sometimes don't, which is why they have the jumper.

Text with pics: 'you can find it next to the receptacle for the data cable. It is a small black plastic square ( x inch) mounted vertically. It is next to a small yellow capacitor and exposes two metal pins'

Showed this thread to DH. Definitely something we will do on our 360 IBL but will have to wait until we get new tires and some necessities for inside. He just put it on his TO DO list. This weekend he's putting on the JT strongarms that you had previously recommended.

Buying and Installing one of these Progressive EMS HW50C is at the top of my to do list. I do a lot of internet shopping in search for the best price. So far this is the best that I've found $315.85 free shipping at Progressive Industries EMS-HW50C Hardwire RV Surge Protector 50 Amp

Did you find a better price, if I may ask?

Even better THANK YOU. I hope this goes like a auction in reverse and the price keeps dropping, but $305.00 likely won't be beat...
