Quad steps for the Silverback
Just completed changing the triple Flexco steps to quad Flexco steps on our 2014 Cedar Creek Silverback 33RL....old retired people need all the help they an get....a big difference in steps having a 9 1/2 inch rise to now having a 8 inch rise plus less steepness in the 4-step.....we'll soon know for sure as we get this camper out on those RV highways and into those campgrounds.

Nice job. I did this a couple years ago and we have been so happy with it. I know you will be too.

Can you fold the steeps up with covers on them?

I could sure use these quad steps. Do you have a link as to were to purchase them? And hopefully they will fit on my 2015 Cedar Creek Silverback 31RK.

Try to open this.....
Flexco Manual Pull-Out Steps for RVs - Quad - 8" Drop/Rise ...
https://www.etrailer.com/Enclosed-Tr.../SMFP-4400.htm
ETrailer is the company we bought ours from.....no tax, no shipping fees.....I had to trim about 1.25 inches off the mounting bracket on the Silverback....in this ad there was a review from someone with a 2015 Silverback that commented he had to do the same thing with his mounting bracket....it mounted in the same holes that the triple step had used.

I don't know that I would have that answer because we have never used covers......the quad steps fold in a similar way as the triple steps, so, if you are using covers on a triple, I would think it should work on the quad....the company we purchased from, ETrailer, appears to have good customer service relations for answering their customers questions....you might ask them.

Rather than expensive covers, buy outdoor carpet tile and glue them down. We've had the outdoor tile down for 4 yrs and still going fine.

If you're going to consider a step-upgrade, look at the Torklift Glowstep Revolution steps. I had 2 sets installed on my rig and couldn't be happier with them.

Quad steps
I have looked into this for my 2015 Silverback 29re. Current steps appear to be welded to frame as well as bolted to the floor.

I can't say for sure on your 2015 model but our 2014 Silverback had a mounting bracket that is "welded to the frame and bolted to the floor" and then the Flexco step assembly then bolted with 4 bolts(2 each side) to that mounting bracket along with 2 self-tapping screws(1 each side)....hopefully you can see the nuts for the bolts and the screwhead in the pic ....I removed the 4 bolts and the self-tapping screws and the step assembly simply dropped right out away from the mounting bracket.....I did have to trim about 1.25 inches from the bottom of the bracket for the quad steps to fit back in the holes.

I have the Flexco quad steps on our Cedar Creek. Purchased the Presto Fit step covers and they have 4 springs each to attach the cover to the step. Well, they would not work as designed. The quad steps seem like they almost have to be metal to metal when they are folded up. I'm still trying to figure out some way of covering the metal with some type of cover.

X2. Best upgrade on our fiver to date. Had an elderly disabled lady try ours out last weekend while camping and she was amazed how much easier they were to climb.
