Very nice work! I need to do something similar myself. Thanks for the pics.

My new wildcat had the black tank flush but to be honest it's horrible compared to the quickie flush. Maybe it's not working quite right but was something I was looking forward to and now I'm thinking its worthless.

I guess maybe I'm better off then. I know my work is solid and the quicke flush works like a champ. My in laws have a keystone sprinter that came with a black tank flush. Sounds like it swirls around in there when it's running. I looked at the tornado flush but figured more moving parts = more things that could break. Sometimes keep it simple.

Where on the black tank would you install an aftermarket flush kit? Also, what parts of the quickie flush kit did you use vs which parts did you make from scratch?
Thanks!

I installed the quicke flush in the side of the black tank, about 2-3 inches from the top and just about center left to right. This is as per the directions that it came with. The tank isn't that tall, more wide. This is shown in the first pic. The actual quicke flush is the only part I used. You can buy it with or without the kit. I bought the kit but it turned out to be junk. You can simply hook a hose to the quicke flush every time if you want. (You would have to crawl under trailer). There is a back flow preventer in the quicke flush itself. (The part inside the tank). I used shark bite fittings and pex to go from a hoes fitting down to pex and then pex to a city water flange I bought on amazon (15$). I drilled a hole in the skirting and put the flange on the same side as my other utility connections. The flange also has a back flow preventer. So it's back flow prevented at the tank connection and at the hose connection. Double fail safe. Totally independent. Works perfect.

Can you tell me specifically what size PEX and which Sharkbite fittings you used to put this together? I'm putting together a shopping list and I'm no plumber! I can't tell by looking at your pics what to buy
Thanks!

Here's some pics of the fittings and stuff. I used 1/2 " pex. Not sure how small of a roll they sell. I had some left over from another job. You will need at least enough to go from the center of the black tank to the skirt plus allow for bends and such. I would say 10' of 1/2" pex and you should be safe. I ordered the quickie flush and city water flange ahead and then took them both to Home Depot to make sure I got all the right stuff. That's what I would recommend. That way you can try all the fittings together before you get started. There's tons of them and it gets confusing with all the sizes and threads.
Here's a basic list
10' x1/2" pex.
2 shark bite 1/2 " pex to 3/4 NPT female
I used watts fittings to go from the NPT to GHT (garden hose) and from the NPT to the city flange
The shark bites are mostly for home plumbing and the RV city flange was different thread.

How did you go from 3/4 NPT to the city water flange. I am about to do this and can't figure out this connection. The threads are different aren't they?

Can't remember now and the camper is buried in two feet of snow. I tried to figure it out and ended up racking my brain also. I ordered the city flange and the quicke flush ahead of time. Then I went to Home Depot. I used shark bite fittings to connect to the pex. They have pex to just about every thread. I think on the city flange I did pex to one kind of thread and fount a Watts ( regular plumbing fittings) that went from the thread on the shark bite and switched to a city water thread.

No. I took the city flange and the flush with me to the store in my pocket. When I was pretty sure I had it all I opened the packages up at store and did a test fit on everything. Took a little while.

It's built into the sprayer head that is mounted in the side of the tank. Looks like the same design as the city water connection has to prevent water from coming out when using the pump. Spring loaded ball type thing.

Yes it will. I have used them on 4 different trailers and install them in the grey and black water tanks. I started using them when I began having problems with the tank level indicators, so I try to install the sprayer so that it will spray water on the sensors that are inside the tank. I seldom have any issues with the sensors not sowing correctly now.
