Rainy Day Clothes Drying Idea ....
I've always heard "necessity in the mother of inventions", .... well, when DW decides she's going to wash clothes, ... there's nothing I can say or do to get her to wait till we get home, ... she washed clothes today and hung them out on the awning arms to dry, ... it started to rain, so they had to come down, ... it stopped, so out they went again and then it started raining again, so down they came again, ... that's when I figured there's gotta be a better way, ... I carry a 12' extension painters pole with brush head to wash the trailer, ... with it, my truck bed retriever pole and a flyswatter, I jury-rigged a drying rack under the awning, ... DW is happy because it looks like its going to be raining the rest of the afternoon, ... when I get home, I think I'll come up with some idea of an arm that will hang off the outside tv holder, so a support leg wont be needed on that end, ... but, if I never get around to that, what you see in the photos works well just the way it is, ...

Lol. This tells me two things....
1. You are scared of your wife.
2. You were bored.

That's pretty awesome. And so simple. That's what makes this forum such an indispensable tool.

I always use the awning arm. When it rains I use the shower. Of course I am usually solo, so I only have one shirt and maybe a hand towel to dry.

I like the idea of keeping the clothes under the awning in case it rains. Do you have a washer in the camper or are using one at the campground? Jay

no, DW washed those by hand, ... that's a lot of work and that's the reason I tried to get her to wait till we get back home, ... we'll be heading home in just a few days and certainly won't run out of clothes before then, ...
over the years there have been several threads with different drying rack ideas(for sunny days), but I don't remember any that addressed trying to get the clothes dry when its raining outside, ...so watching her hang them out three times(thinking the rain was over) and each time having to bring them back in because it started again, is what caused me to look for something other than the norm, ... what you see in the pics required nothing special, and works better than I expected, ... DW is happy with the results, ... now we have the answer if that situation should ever arise again, ...
(now Iwannacamp #4 and Nurek #7, what about any of that implies I'm scared of my wife and bored?????????)

Hi fellow forum members
Just traded my 2016 Rockwood 2811 ultra v
for a 2018 rockwood 3008w
Awesome trailer wih huge front kitchen will pick up
in spring dealer is storing it til then
We bought a nifty small electric dryer that works great
use it inside with the vent against a screen door
I'm sure our fellow campers wont miss our nickkers
hanging on a clothes line to dry
