Rear View Wireless Camera system for Trailer
Anyone use/install and can recommend Rear View Wireless Camera system for Trailer (30" Work & Play) ?
I've looked and good one are over $300-$500...
Home security camera systems little chipper, like UNIDENT (under $200), but not sure about them. Some of them need 5V or 6V supply and I don't want to make it complicated having special adapter or running X-tra wires.
Thanks

I have been using the I-Ball Camera iBall Hitch Camera | The Best Wireless Trailer Hitch Camera for about a year now and like it very well.
Its affordable and easy to use.
I'll put the camera on my tailgate for hook up and I have placed it on my TT's rear bumper to help miss hitting stuff when I back up!
All wireless and I store it in the truck console.
Good Luck!

Are you using two cameras with one monitor? or you move camera from tailgate to the back of your trailer? and if you do - are you using velcro to attache camera?
I just put new thread on that problem in different aspect:
Since I have pretty long W&P 30" trailer, I'm thinking to get & install front bumper tow hitch which would make parking trailer much, much easy!
But! The one available is rated for 500 lb tongue Weight.
My trailer tongue is at list twice as much... Would 500 lb be good for a short use, like parking trailer with slow speed and short distance?
What do you think?
Thanks

One camera with one monitor.
The camera has an adjustable magnetic base. I generally use it for hookup. I mentioned the rear bumper setup to illustrate the distance the camera is capable of transmitting. My TT is 34'+
IMO If the receiver you are planning to install is a 'bolt on' type, you could be limited with tongue weight.
I don't know what your tow vehicle is and I am not an authority, but look into having one welded on. I think it could be less damaging to your TV and should increase the amount of tongue weight you can safely hold.

I will look into that camera, thanks!
I have a new 2013 Chevy 2500 2WD full bed, so there no problem towing TT the usual way. The front mount tow hitch is a bolt on with 3 bolts on each side https://www.curtmfg.com/masterlibrar..._31023_INS.pdf
But i don't think welding it to the truck is a good idea, can loose MF warranty...
Only may be modifying the hitch itself, like welding X-tra bracket to the tongue.

The hitch looks substantial, not what I envisioned.
It should work going low and slow.
Best wishes.

I have the same filling. Just want to check if anyone use that type of front end hitch.
Thank you for your feedback!

Have added this to my amazon wish list just in case my Santa is watching
Reviews look pretty good on this and very reasonably priced.

A friend of mine installed a wireless setup on his camper bumper, primarily for keeping an eye on his tandem tow (golf cart on a trailer), and he says it works great. This on a trailer that is 30-32ft plus the distance from hitch/truck bumper to the cab, so ~40ft total. Good Luck with this !!!

I use a Peak 1 and it works ok. The distance is a little far for my 25' TT but I plan on extending it soon.

I also purchased the Peak for my 5er. It works pretty well the only thing I wish was that it had a bigger screen, it is hard to see such a small display.

I found the 7" screen at SAMs club. It's plenty large.

Check TadiBros.com. They are great to work with and gave many different systems. Wired, wireless, multiple cameras/screen configurations. Give them a call if you want something not offered or you want some specialized equipment.
