Refer fan mod

In our new Cedar Creek Silverback the fan behind the refer (it's in a slideout) was driving us crazy with its loud, annoying whine. When we couldn't take it anymore I would remove the fuse, then replace it when we'd recovered a bit. Now the fuse is permanently gone, and the factory fan has been replaced by two computer fans.

I fished power up from the bottom of the cabinet and installed a plug-in connector (the blue one). I had to cut out the plywood panel for the fans because it prevented the door from closing. The fans are bolted to the vent door, and there is room between them to install a third fan if needed. Each fan is 120 mm square, spins at 1200 rpm, vents over 40 cfm, draws 0.15 A, and is very quiet. I was surprised how hot the air is coming out of the upper vent. Running since late this morning, the empty freezer went from 79 deg. down to 11 deg. with outside temperature near 90 today.

Looks very professionally done. A lot of air movement with little or no noise.

But it looks like half of the fan is pulling air out below the condenser fins. That is not good.
