removal of gas furnace

I have a FR Salem Cruise-Lite 214 QBXL that has only been used (and will only be used) in Florida. Since heating a small RV in Florida with an electric heater is not that much of a problem, I would like to remove the furnace and the box that encloses it and put in two comfortable modified recliners in its place. Has anyone ever removed a furnace like the model in my Cruise-Lite?? If so how much of a job is it and can it be done by a DIY'er?

Thanks,

Mo

Sounds like a good project. Removing a furnace is relatively simple, I have done it several times. The worse was a pop-up infested with Chinese beetles and it stunk. While you are at it I would recommend taking out the propane line as well, that way it will never be a problem to you.
YouTube should be your guide.
