Removing Carpeting

We're looking at buying a SandPiper 371REBH, our first RV, full using full-time for one year, but we've noticed that this and every other fifth wheel on the market has carpeting under the dinette and in other places we'd rather have just regular flooring.

Has anyone here removed the carpeting from this or other RVs? How difficult is that to do? What's underneath?

Thanks for any help thinking about this.

Especially if the dinette is on a slide.

You can successfully remove carpet on the "floor" of your rig (and replace it with linoleum). For the carpeted slides, we have just taken cut-to-fit clear carpet runners and put that on top of the carpet

Had some friend that removed the carpet out of their unit and found the lino flooring running the whole floor. The slides had wood only under the carpet.

Joint? Really? Whoa, sorry flashback. Yea the rollers/hinge is hidden under the sliders carpet. Better plan on adding something to the floor of the slider. Raising the level and extending the floor to cover the hinge thingy. I'm planning to remove the booth and do the same mod this year so make sure you take a lot of pictures and let us know so I can blame you to my wife. Lol.
