Replaced the dinette with sofa

The dinette that came with the trailer was very uncomfortable to use as a sofa to watch TV so I replaced the dinette in my Surveyor Cadet SC 226RBDS with a home made sofa. It has 3 large draws for storage and it also converts to a 75 X 50 bed. This is one of many upgrades.Click image for larger version

Looks excellent. Would it work if your dinette was not in the slide and housed (among other things) the wheelwells of a dual axle TT? The sofabed in my current slide currently has an occupant for TV...my wife

I made the unit myself. If you're handy you could make it work for other configurations. You will probably loose some of the draws because of the wheel wells. When I built it was to replace a U shaped dinette.

No table inside the TT? Does everyone just eat outside?

Nice Mod. Can you post a pic of it in the bed position? Is that what the cushions along the walls are for?

Replaced the dinette with sofa

The DW decided she wanted different cushions (of course) so they did not fit the sofa. It has been repurposed as a garage work bench. I built a new one and will be posting all the pictures this week. The trick was getting 6 cushions 25 x 25 X 5 plus 3 cushions 22X 29 X 9 plus 2 cushions 17 X 20 X4 into the sofa and use all of them to make a bed that is 75 inches long by 50 inches wide and still have draws for storage and also store a table inside with no table leg cups on the floor. (No Problem)

Our "Little One" came with a sofa & a removable table - we like it much better than a dinette.
