Replacement Radio

Last year the radio/DVD player in my ROO stopped working and I am going to have to replace it. Has anybody ever done this? If so what did you replace it with? I'm looking for good quality with good price.

If I was going replace a radio/dvd, I would not go with the combo. I would just replace it with a radio and get a good little blue ray player to hook to my tv. I have never been a fan of combo units if one part goes out then you are stuck without the other.

I've been toying with the idea of replacing the Genesis with the Audiovox 12v Bluray player and a good head unit. The only thing the Genesis seems to have going for it is the 3 zones, but I can live with dumping the bedroom speakers over getting independent audio on 2 zones like a car's head unit with a rear zone will provide. It would be nice to send movie audio to the internal speakers and XM to the outside at the same time.

But those dreams will have to wait until Tax season takes it's bite out of me.

Amen on the waiting until Tax season is over, I have a fairly large contribution due to the government as well. I have a nice little sony blue ray(not 12v) in my TT and I have a HDMI splitter so I feed my bedroom and living room tv's
