Replacing lights

This weekend we are going to change out the factory bedside lights in our Surveyor which are to put it mildly... "Blinding", with some Directional reading lights. that shouldn't be a problem. I would like to take thee old lights and mount them in the front pass thru storage. Now can I tie in a wire from the new lights down the closet walls into the storage area to supply power to the lights there? There will be about a 10% chance that any of these lights will ever be turned on at the same time so I don't see an overload problem happening and as long as I use the same gauge wire it seems to me that it should work.

If anyone knows of another,(AKA...easier), way to wire up the lights in the pass thru I'd love to here from you.

We got the lights replaced yesterday,and we're very pleased with the outcome. although the closet walls are too thin to conceal the "recessed part of the fixtures,(showing inside the closet), I have a cover design already in mind just have to install. Also got the old lights moved to the Pass thru storage area and they are going to SO great at night! That's going to be one of the most NEEDED mods we've done.
