RPod 179 Easy Winterizing Now

This may already be "out there"....sharing my modification to ease winterization in my 179. Questioned the need to remove bed mattress & plywood deck every time to access water line for adding antifreeze to system. Therefore, cut out opening in wall in front of water access, added trim pieces either side for better support, cut similar piece of veneer as a door, hung in place by hinge and attach with Velcro. Added extension line to water access line with coupler, and plug in the other end. This weekend simply opened my access hatch, grabbed my "extension line", turned the valves and pumped in the pink stuff! Never touched the bed, yay! Click image for larger version

that is a great mod and surely makes winterizing much easier if you own an RPod I'm sure others with different rigs will adapt this mod to theirs.
