Thought I'd post these pics of how to mount bikes as many other FR brands are adding these great cargo racks to the rear and some folks may be curious on how to secure items to it

Chaparral bike rack

Here is a picture of our cargo rack on our coachmen chaparral. It is in no way suitable as a bike rack which is the only thing we would use it for. Came standard on our Rv. Guess it will find a home in the garage.

Our chappy has the same rack. It is the home of our generator and tool box. It has a sticker on it for 450 # limit. I have 340 on it and works fine. Wife followed me in the car and said it hardly bounced.

bike rack

We were really hoping to use it as a bike rack--don't really need the extra storage right now. Maybe someday when we are able to go on an extended trip, we'll use it!!

That's sad they didn't take 15min to weld bottom plates so you can carry bikes...I'd take to a welder and fab some plates like my Sabre and you'll be in business!
