Saggy floor in shower
Has anyone had the problem of a saggy corner shower floor in their Forest River? My brand new Salem Hemisphere Lite has a nice corner shower in it, but when i went to use it, the shower floor sagged really bad like there is no support under it and sags to the point that I'm afraid of damageing the drain piping. There is a small access panel in the front to get in under the plastic shower floor and I was thinking of maybe sliding a couple 2x4's in on either side of the floor drain to stabilize it. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yep! Built a Bridge across where they cut out the Floor for the Drain! They could have put 2 drains in the hole they cut! Youroo!!

Same issue in the our Legacy shower - saggy right around the drain. Thanks for the pictures, youroo - just what I need to do!

It is hard to see but where they cut out the floor is where the shower support is located! Youroo!!

I was told it was designed that way to keep too much rigid pressure from causing problems with the drain pipe.

Mine has supports right up to the pipes, but I still feel the soft spot when I step in the shower. The pipe is too close to the bottom of the shower to put a bridge across. Even if I could, it would cause pressure against the pipe and there would be no flexibility. Sometimes it's best to leave well enough alone.

Take it back to the dealer ASAP. Eventually you will have leak problems. My dealer fixed ours without any problem.

Are you talking about it being soft/ saggy just inside the door? Will the dealer fix it or should I just do it myself

No, it's jus the small gap between the floor and the top of the pipe.

I had this issue with a previous TT - a Keystone Cougar. I had to shore mine up with scrap lumber... made it solid, though.

Yes,the OEM make up is "Shower floor/styrofoam/plywood/2x2 leg suports/" this all sets on the 2x2 legs plus the outer perimeter where the access door is also located! F/R removed/cut out/eliminated the RV floor area so the drain would fit,BUT the cut hole is/was WAY to LARGE thus NO support area for the 2x2s,can we say "Mid Air"? I install more styrofoam above the plywood and then built the Bridge over the Hole for the 2 Mid Air legs to sit on! I will not kid you it took a while to Measure/cut/make/install/glue this all up,I really Doubt any Dealer would spend this time to support a shower! Thus members get answers like,"They are all that way"! Youroo!!
