Sat Dish Stand

I found this somewhere on line..not sure where, but here is the link to the construction. It works great, better than my tripod, and cheap to build.

I built one a few years ago...and it worked great. The low-profile is nice.
When I upgraded my dish to a dual LNB...it still worked...just had to move it a bit to catch the other sat. It's also a great conversation starter...people always think it fell over!

Wow, I love it!!!

I was looing at modding a tripod for my new Surveyor, but this is great!!! I like the light weight compact size

There is one shot on their site where it looks like the lnb arm has been modded with a latch put on it to allow it to collapse flat. Wondering what he did there?

I simply tucked the whole thing in a storage space, or removed the dish from the stand each time. It was real quick anyway...but that folding LNB looks pretty handy!

If you do decided to make one, make sure the upright piece is tall enough for your dish. I installed a larger diameter dish...and the ground clearance was a little lacking.

Another option to look at instead of a latch is drilling out the four spot welds that hold the LNB arm. Then place a pin thru the two holes closest to the LNB and use another pin to slide in the other holes that can be pushed/pulled into place for collapsing the dish. Sorry, I don't have any pic's to post.
