Satellite Dish PVC low profile mount

This mount actually is easy to build for a single or multi LNB.
My dish is oval and not round and I have a larger dual LNB head.
I finished this this afternoon and works great.
Here is a link to the actual person who design and build it back in 2005-2006.

Looks good for your application, however, my dish has to point almost horizontal here in Nova Scotia.

Others in that situation just make the veritcal piece as long as your dish but the strenght of the PVC will flex. So a metal tripod is what you must continue to use.

Azmuth stays the same. That is the compass reading. Mine is 175 degrees. The tilt of the dish is you take your normal reading such as mine is 50 degrees. I then take 90 - 50 degrees = 40 degrees and that is what I set the guage on the dish adjustment.

What do you do to keep your LNB from freezing?
Set a fire under it?

Iggy; understand about the Azmuth, and tilt, but what about the skew?? Does it stay the same? I.E. here at home my settings are Az-236.8 magnetic, Eleva 29.7, and Skew 122.6. How would that transpose?

Because the Dish is moved through 90 degrees. Elevation is taken from 90.
Because Dish is flipped through 180 degrees. Skew is taken from 180.
Example. for ZIP Code 93426
Normal Dish upside down
Azmuith 154 = Remains at 154
Elevation 48 = (90 - 48) = 42
Skew 82 = (180 - 82) = 98

Iggy; Thanks work everything down. We have a Rockwood 2604 and I like the ides of putting the dish on the roof once we've parked. Less chance of some rug-brats running it over with their bikes etc. Plus the additional heigth of the roof's just enought to get over a tree top etc.
