Took me awhile, but I figured out what problem you were trying to solve. My 2018 Rockwood 2715VS has a handle on both sides of screendoor. Only need to open slider to disengage main door from screen door.

Or you could get one of these which would also work:
https://www.amazon.com/Lippert-23906...een+door+latch
Just check the measurements of your screen door to make sure it'll fit. The plastic could be trimmed down to make it fit.
The second option is what came on my 2019 grey wolf 23dbh. Both doors but still have nowhere to push on the door to open it while walking through. Have to install a push bar.

Screen door latch

The handle spring on our screen door broke a few times and I was tired of buying the whole handle each time as no one seems to sell just the tiny spring.
I finally bought a small package of magnets stuck on a steel strip from Lowes and screwed them on to opposing sides on the door frame and the door and now the magnets hold the door closed. a simple push and it is open and they hold the door closed quite well. Total cost was about $5 and no more springs to break and articles to juggle to get the door open.

A good idea except what happens when you open the outer door from outside? The two doors are now independent?
You open the outer door and then have to open the inner screen?
A possibility for sure.... not sure I"d want
them disconnected all the time tho...

"One of our pet peeves is having to slide
the little panel open to reach the screen
door latch."

Not sure if you notice you don't have to open the sliding panel to open the screen door just push down on the panel round handle and the screen door will open.

@ KyDan: Yes from experience, the sliding panel will move with the little black thingy attached. The purpose of the latch opener is so you do not have to slide the panel.

Yes I understand that. We do still have to slide the panel to operate the outer door.
I just now ordered the camco peg thingie as well as a shade window for the door and a vent shade for the ceiling vent over our bed.
Camping near West Glacier recently we noticed it started to get light at 4:30 so we're trying to darken our rig a bit.
Thanks for all your suggestions!
Happy Trails!

The video is a little annoying but it works great. I did this magnet mod to my screen door. Never slide the panel again.

There are links to the magnets in the comment section.

We have the Lippert screen door latch and it's amazing!! We also put on a screen door cross bar (https://www.campingworld.com/screen-...r-black-handle). The bar makes a world of difference in the ease of closing the screen door. Happy camping!!

Ditto Wiscampsin's device. I've got one of those little things on both doors on my TT. I find them very easy to use (and install) but other people who aren't used to them don't know what to do with them!

I can see that he carved out three areas in the frame to recess them, added a pull handle on one side of the screen and a push bar on the other, and added another magnet to the door to lock the two together.

I only wish he'd provided some details on how the magnets are attached. How did you attach yours?

I can only guess that they used either super glue or some two part epoxy. just as an FYI for anyone doing this, please dont use the normal JB Weld. its magnetic and you will create a mess and have a magnet encased in this stuff

The magnets have a hole. I used a small screw with locknut. I didn't have to recess them into the frame. The magnets squished down the foam weatherstrip on mine.

As far as I can tell, he did not use epoxy. I used the same magnets he did.

Our Salem came with the Lippert from the factory. It works great. I recommend it if your screen door doesn't have a mechanism for opening without having to slide the panel open.

Just like scrapper said. Our flagstaff fiver has a handle on both sidesof screen door. Only time you have to slide the panel is when the main door is shut.

I wonder if it would be possible to retro-fit a single side screen door handle??
Can you post a photo of yours?
