Spent the last 3 days working on the deck and rails. The Screen porch is complete...and now the rail is up.

Need to add the top cap around it, stain the lattice, and put up hand rail on the small stairs.



oh yea...the mosquitoes have hatched! Now that's perfect timing cause the porch is ready for use!

Thanks...the balisters are 26'' aluminum by Deckorater's. (Lowes) Once you get the hang of it...they are quite quick to install. I think they look better than the standard 2x2 wood balisters, but they cost twice as much. They don't block the view quite as much either...and no maintenance.

I think I'll use 5/4 boards as rail cap. A 2x6 looked a little large up there.
