Shelf Mod In XLR 27HFS Cargo Area

My wife and I are members of the shooting club at our campground (I'm the vice president of the club), and we both have our concealed carry license. Our club has shooting events every Sat from May 1 thru Oct 31, so we always have firearms along with us while camping whether it is handguns, long guns, or both. Last fall I added a gun cabinet to the storage area of our camper, so we had someplace to secure our firearms other than the truck. Finally this weekend I got around to adding the shelf that I wanted to add above the gun cabinet. The television hook up is in the ceiling on this model, so it only made sense to put the cabinet, and the shelf below the hook ups. Here are the pics of the mod. By setting it on the wheel well, about 6" from the wall, it still has access to the cargo tie down, the heater vent is not blocked, and the 6" space is a nice place to put brooms and mops. I plan to put hooks in the wooden support brace on the forward wall, between the wall and the gun cabinet, so that we can hang the brooms and stuff on the hooks, rather than relying on the pool noodles to keep them in place!
