Thumbs up shoe box step

The bed in my camper with the topper is very tall-- it comes up to my waist..
So I figuure I could use a step up after a long night around the camp-fire.
I built a step up /false floor the lenghth of the bed -minus the nite stand and wardrobe with a hinged top for storage.
Final size was 28" long x20" wide and 6" tall.. I upolstered 1/2" plywood top with carpet runner from H-Depot and bought all the box lumber from the cull department =total cost of about $15 with hardware.
Great extra storage and just tucked in, sitting on the floor next to the bed.
