Silverware drawer
i got a new Rockwood 8281SS and when i got it home i realized the only silverware drawer was almost on the floor, i need to make a MOD for a silerware drawer
i was thinking of some drawer slides from Home Depot with a home made box, and put it in the cabinet door right under the sink
has anybody had this problem ?

Mine is more of a silverware holder that sits on top half of a drawer and can't move.
Or Do you mean the drawer it's self opened?

We have a camper that doesn't have a single drawer in it. IMAGINE THAT!!!! We put the silverware, (not really silver), in a large plastic cup, and there you have it. Have one cup for eating utensils, and another for cooking utensils. Hey. don't knock it, works for us.
Just put the cup on the table and good to go.
Sorry, I'm no help. Seems winter is setting in.

i was thinking of a drawer under the sink, so i can open the cabinet door
just under the counter and pull out the drawer,
the idea of a big cup is a good one but i know i would forget to put it away before i take off and fined a not so nice surprise when i open the door

Drawers won't go under the sink. Would hit the sink when you try to close it. That is why most, if not all sinks, have a cabinet under them, for the sink and the plumbing. Yours may be different.

I have 3 drawers under the sink on my 27RBEC. However they were very shallow. I had a neighbor who is a cabinet maker take a look. A few months later he picked up my drawers and took them over to his shop. He built new drawers and re-attached the face and viola they are twice as deep and have dividers in them. Wow what a differance I can actually use them now.
He also built me sliders for my pantry with self closers!! Wish I knew how to download pics.

yes we used the drawer below the one i added. it just had a false panel were the drawer is now. i just wanted to have more drawer space. this way we now don't have to move a bunch of other things to get one thing out of a drawer. i have modified lots of places in the trailer that was just wasted space. any other questions or if you need different pictures my trailer is buried under snow in my driveway but i can get you what you need. good luck.

The silverware drawer located in the island in our Sierra was way too small for practical use.
We decided to use one of the jumbo drawers next to the cooktop/oven & turn it into a one stop place for all utensils.
I picked up some bamboo drawer dividers & a bamboo silverware tray from Bed Bath & Beyond.
Cut some scrape wood to make rails & a piece of ¼” plywood for a sliding shelf and made the below super utensil drawer.
Turns out it’s one of the DW’s favorite things to show people.
Now in what was supposed to be the silverware drawer we keep the spare dish towels which works better all-around since now the towels are right next to the sink & the utensils are right next to the stove & dishes.

In our last camper there were only 2 drawers in the whole kitchen.
We wound up using half the narrow pull out pantry for utensils.
Again from Bed Bath & Beyond I got upright utensil holders & made them fit in the wire pull out shelves/baskets of the pantry.
Then on a cabinet door I installed a long thin magnet to hold the largest knives.
No pic of that set up though.
