Simple Switch Labels

Picked up our new Wildcat 203RL a couple of weeks ago and am now in the process of personalizing it. When you enter the door, there are actually 6 switches mounted underneath the rear wall cabinets. It is a little difficult to read the labels on the switches. Three switches are for lights, white scare light, amber outside and under step lights, and the overhead interior lights. The next switches are for the awning, and two slides. Not sure what switch moves which slide or awning, I made some simple labels from filing folder plastic labels so I could read them without looking under the cabinets. BEDroom slide, DINing room slide, and AWNing. Actually the awning switch is farthest from the actually awning. A very simple idea, but it sure helps knowing what switch moves what.

That looks great. Wish you would have thought about that 5 years ago when I had the same situation with my 831RLTS.

We had the same problem with our 08 Flagstaff 831RLSS that had all the switches mounted on the bottom of the cabinet. I cut a hole in the side of the cabinet and re-mounted the whole panel on the side where you could see it. Was a BUNCH of wire splicing, the wires were about 2" short, all 14 or 16 of them. Then, due to both of us wearing bifocals, had to make labels also. It was not one of Forest Rivers better ideas. Kinda dumb really!
