Sky Light Removal

I have a sky light in my shower. It is basically useless in my opinion. It is hot in the daytime, cold at night. We take our showers at night so we don't need the light that it is supposed to provide. I am thinking about removing it. Has anyone done this and if so, how did you go about it. Appreciate any thoughts that you might have. Thanks.

You post a good question here. I 3/4 time in my 5'r and have the same issues. I haven't given a thought on how to rectify the situation. I will be watching various replies to see if there are any practical solutions out there. I do like the natural light, but the heat/cold issue is frustrating.

I installed one of these! Really cut down on sun and heat.

Camco SunShield Reflective Motor Home Window Cover for Doors - 16-1/4" x 25-1/4"

Made for doors but it fit my shower sky light perfectly.

I changed the out side piece to dark smoked and that helped. Old one cracked.
