slide-out awning support

my neighbor and I assembled these frames and installed them under the awning on the slide out. we each made 2 6FT sections to eliminate the rain pooling on the canvas awning...total cost to each of us about $35.00 in materials...pvc fittings and pipe. now, the only thing to remember is to remove them when i close for the season and put the slide in.

Very nice! I'd copy your idea, but we're a bit more mobile, and I don't see myself installing & removing at each campsite. For me at least, perhaps something a bit smaller that tends to sit in the middle... maybe a triangle of sorts, just to help keep the familiar water puddle from forming.

The correct size rubber ball will do the same thing - something like one of those kid-sized footballs, etc.

i guess it would, but i'm retired and blowing up a rubber ball isn't as much fun as cutting and glueing and putting one of these frames together.....gotta have an activity to do when the fish aren't biting !
