Slide-Out Sleeve by Lippert Components or slide out topper?

Does anyone have a solera slide-out topper?
Slide-Out Sleeve or topperby Lippert Components

Im thinking of getting a topper or a sleeve for my 3 slides.
What is a good brand / model to get for a topper for a slide?
Just want to buy quality w/out problems. Kind of like the idea of lippert slide top but dont know how well it works. Does anyone have one? Or is there one out there better??
Thanks

I've been thinking about the sleeve for our two slides. Went to the nearest dealer to inquire and they haven't heard about them. I might have to order and install myself

Pretty neat. I'd definitely consider them if I didn't already have slide toppers.

They sure look inferior to me, and the advertisement is clearly lying with the intent to deceive; how could you trust them?

Why would you retract your slides with debris on top? They show those leaves doing no damage, but what if those where branches or twigs?

And that 'no leak at over 2500PSI' crap? Are you kidding? They were standing so far back from the unit, the PSI hitting it was less than falling rain! That's simple deception.

Hey Platokid

Did you get info on how much they are? I like the way they have the curve over the edge of the slide.

With all the problems with Lippert items why would you purchase this item? We have the older style toppers and have never had a problem with debris getting under the awning . Plus we have had heavy rain and the slide has not leaked.

I'm not sure I would say "All the problems with Lippert" They can and do make good products like the Trailair products, axles are just fine as well.

I just happen to see the benefit of the topper wrapping around the top corner of the slide.

Besides, your trailer is mostly Lippert components anyways.

Check out the frame cracking on many trailers and the response from Lippert. They do not stand behind the quality of their product. I do agree that many of the items on my trailer are manufactured by Lippert.

I have read about the cracked frames and in all reality there are very few vs what is out there. They do have a fix on their website for the problem units. Most are the ultra lites and trying to make campers for the 1/2 ton pickup market. I am not in that class of 5er.
Looking at my frame it is the same as the big toy haulers so I am not really worried.

I also spent a lot of time worrying about it as well and then decided I would just add gussets and bars myself and get to camping.

On Lippert's behalf I would say that they do not know what people really do to their trailers and probably get attacked in an unreasonable fashion and that brings on the attitude that gets them denied service.

I am still liking the Solera toppers and I bet they are less expensive than the Dometic slide toppers.

I have no price yet. Not sure there on the market yet. I must say I am skeptical
the leaves and sticks will tear up the wipers and seals. For now I will try to camp in under the stars
