Slide Step

Ford did a good thing when they built a small ladder into some of their tailgates. For those who don't have that option, or have another brand of truck and would like to have a step to easily get up onto the tailgate when it is down, here is a great product.

I added one to my truck in January and find that it is one of the greatest mods I have made. It is called a Slide Step. Here's a link to their web site

Pickup Truck Tailgate Step | DEBO Step - DoMore Truck

I showed this step to several people at the OMI Tadpole Rally in Indiana a couple of weeks ago and the consensus seemed to be that it was a worthwhile product.

Well, I just talked again to the owner of the company and he told me that they have sent in an application to be one of the vendors at the Goshen rally this August. If you can't wait that long, order one on line. Shipping was free when I bought mine (and I THINK it still is) and installation took me about a half-hour or 45 minutes.

Thanks Mike, got your message.

I was really impressed with this add on. My lovely wife ordered one for me for my birthday. I got it a couple days ago and installed it in about 20 minutes on my Ford. This is the best accessory I have found. No more climbing up on my knees to get stuff out of the bed.

I have the factory step on my 2011 F150 and at first I thought it was gimmicky but it's actually an awesome option to get.

Tailgates and truck boxes are so high nowadays that unless you're quite young and agile getting up into the box is a chore.
