"Snip the Tip" fridge mod

Anyone use this product on Dometic fridge?
Does it work well?

Was the only way I could get the temps down where they should be. Highly recommend it.

used and spoke of this product before on this site. It really does work! It will keep your liquids from freezing. It really is a tiny thermostat about the size of your thumb nail. It takes about 10 min to install, only because the wires from the "Fridge Thingy" are so dang small. Put your cheaters on if you have them.
I highly recommend this product for those having issues with their Dometic Fridges!

Happy Camping Y'all!

I despise this factory set up with the sensor on a crappy clip that slides up and down the fin. It usually gets bumped around or falls off completely. I would really like to know if this is a viable solution.

If my freezer is cold but the fridge isn't cooling, is this probe the cause?

If you freezer is cold the fridge will soon follow.
May take 12 hours for fridge to cool down
If the freezer is working so is your fridge.

I agree with Turbs give it a solid day. Snip the tip was used to eliminate the freezing of the fridge. If you find that everything freezes, I would try it. Did you move the slide thingy all they way down that will make it colder....

Good Luck

Dave

It's cooled down from yesterday, just strange to me that it takes so long now as compared to previous uses. Oh well, thanks again fellers
