Question Spare Tire Location

The new Rockwood TT's give you a 2"receiver frame mounted under the square bumper on the rear.

That is nice, BUT, to use it for a bike rack, looks like the spare tire mounted to the square bumper would be in the way.

Anyone have luck mounting the spare tire in another location on the trailer?

I see Coachmen mounts theirs under the batt.s under the A frame on the nose of the trailer, but not sure about ground clearance issues mounted there on the Rockwood.

I moved my spare tire to under the trailer, above the axles. My unit doesn’t have a covered underbelly. Might not be possible with a covered underbelly. Jay

I have a Coachmen and didn’t care for the mount under the a-frame. I put it inside the front storage compartment. The tt has plenty of storage, so I didn’t give anything up.

I have heard others use this BAL product to put their spare under the trailer...not sure if it works on your model or not...
