If your are replacing the outside speakers make sure they are waterproof and of the same impedance as the inside speakers (impedance may not be the correct term)

Impedance is correct or more commonly known as ohm value.

+1 on waterproof, marine speakers.

How deep is the speakers hole does it matter. The sound out of the stock speakers are bad hope it's not the furion head unit

Outside speakers are too weak.

My exterior speakers are pitiful. Anyone else deal with the fact that the outside speakers barely put out sound, and when you turn on the interior speakers, they are way too loud inside, but outside they barely put out sound. We have to use either outside only and turn way up, or inside only. We can't use them together.

+1

Can't understand why the relative volume is different.

Yeah, we were wired weirdly anyway. The stereo system was designed for 3 speakers setups. A, B and C. A was just the speaker inside front. B was just inside rear. C was both outside.
I took the system out and wired the inside speakers both to A left and right. That got me stereo sound back inside. B is now unused, and C is outside both. Still weak outside.
I even wired the outside to B to see and they still suck.
I think the outside speakers are a completely different Ohm rating than the interior.

When I called patrick industries they said it was the mismatch of impedance on the outside speakers the caused the problem in my rig. I don't listen outside so it hasn't bothered me.

I'm no noisy pain neighbor. I hate people who blast their music and invade my peace, but I like to have something on real low right near the camper at times.

I think I'm going to change all four speakers to an all weather matched set.
