If your are replacing the outside speakers make sure they are waterproof and of the same impedance as the inside speakers (impedance may not be the correct term)

Impedance is correct or more commonly known as ohm value.
+1 on waterproof, marine speakers.

How deep is the speakers hole does it matter. The sound out of the stock speakers are bad hope it's not the furion head unit

Outside speakers are too weak.
My exterior speakers are pitiful. Anyone else deal with the fact that the outside speakers barely put out sound, and when you turn on the interior speakers, they are way too loud inside, but outside they barely put out sound. We have to use either outside only and turn way up, or inside only. We can't use them together.

Can't understand why the relative volume is different.

Yeah, we were wired weirdly anyway. The stereo system was designed for 3 speakers setups. A, B and C. A was just the speaker inside front. B was just inside rear. C was both outside.
I took the system out and wired the inside speakers both to A left and right. That got me stereo sound back inside. B is now unused, and C is outside both. Still weak outside.
I even wired the outside to B to see and they still suck.
I think the outside speakers are a completely different Ohm rating than the interior.

When I called patrick industries they said it was the mismatch of impedance on the outside speakers the caused the problem in my rig. I don't listen outside so it hasn't bothered me.

I'm no noisy pain neighbor. I hate people who blast their music and invade my peace, but I like to have something on real low right near the camper at times.
I think I'm going to change all four speakers to an all weather matched set.

Our previous TT (Jayco 19H) had the same issue with the outside speakers. The dealer said this was intentional so that you weren't rocking out the neighbors. I called that BS but made no progress in getting the outside speakers to be louder. In our current TT, the volume of the inside and outside speakers seems to be the same - and the quality of the factory speakers is cr@p!

After reading this thread, I was curious about outdoor speakers, so I wrote to Crutchfield, who specializes in audio products. They suggested the following (what they call "marine") speaker list:
https://www.crutchfield.com/g_228350....html?tp=61755
To match properly, they would need to know the impedance of the current speakers, and offered the following guide:
https://www.wikihow.com/Measure-Speaker-Impedance
Knowing this, along with the speaker cutout size, they claim they can dramatically improve the performance. I'm tempted...

I asked Crutchfield about this. This was their response: That could be due to the impedance, more that likely they will be 4 ohm. I am thinking it may have to do with the power required by the speaker or the efficiency rating is low on them, those factors could come into play with the volume level.
The radio would not let me know the impedance of the speaker unfortunately, but I show it should have enough power to run some outside speakers without having the inside cranked up. I am thinking it may have something to do with particular speakers they used, more than likely it is there power rating or there efficiency rating, or a combination of both. It turns out that Crutchfield actually sells the Genesis Technologies unit that I have in my 21DS. That's how he was able to know about it. So now I have to dismount one of the outdoor speakers to find out just what I have and the sizing.

As I was contemplating my outside speakers this week, I was thinking they needed to be tilted down some. I have the factory 6.5 unlit on my salem 27dbk powered by a furrion 3050. They dont sound too bad, but I wish they were firing down say 30 deg, more were I am then straight outwards.

I replaced my factory speakers with these https://www.crutchfield.com/S-soY15S...io-DB-652.html
They are the largest speakers that will fit without cutting. The improvement in sound quality is worth the effort.

I have a set of Alpine components on my 4092BFL. Onkyo RZ820 receiver powers them from the inside.
Since the original cutouts have almost no depth I installed "pods" to give a clean look and more depth.
https://www.crutchfield.com/p_068RPO....html?tp=61890
https://www.crutchfield.com/p_500SS6...5C.html?tp=106
As with most components, they're a little light on bass so I run a MartinLogan Dynamo 700 which is wireless and can easily be placed outside the camper.
