Spray Foam and Slide outs?

Looking into spray foaming my entire underside of the RV. thinking it will give it better insulating properties.

Anyhow, what do you do for the slides? do you spray foam it as is never move it again or do you spray foam it with the slides in so that you can cut the foam and then slide out the slides again?

Also local guy quoted me $1.65/ board foot for 1" foam. I know i would want to go to about 2-3" atleast to keep comfy.. its the slides i worry about!

We built a new house a couple of years ago a had it "enveloped" meaning they did the walls and bottom of roof deck. I think it cost about $1 a square foot but that was open cell, you are probably getting closed cell so that us probably why it is more. I think your foam guy should be able to mask off where the slide is and it not be a big deal. Foam is a great for ins. I bet you wont regret it a bit, to bad there isn't a good way to do the slides also. Good luck!!

Sorry I just read the op again. I don't think you could do the slides on my trailer but others may differ. It would be great if you could!
