Stair lights for front and back doors on TT

I installed a set of LED recondition lights from a car as stair lights. I mounted them with double sided tape to the lip under the middle of the door so they shine on the top step. These provide light for both set of stairs and actually light the staire and not the side of the trailer they are controlled by the stair light switch on the control panel. Very easy install.

OK her ya go the first is the stair lights and the second is the entry light I added while taking pics of the stairs. The entry is so I can read the lettering on the switches. All lights are LED. This is my first time trying to upload a pic hope it works

Thanks for posting the pictures. My Rockwood has a factory-installed light for the steps but it's not an LED bulb. I like the light you mounted for the panel. Where did you get it?

The light is a Mark Ming from Amazon for 22 and change and free shipping. It seems to do the job. The factory installed stair light did not light the stairs its on the side of the trailer.

Stair light

Looks great, a couple of questions. You mention you wired it in the stair light switch. My TT doesn't have such a switch. Where else can it be wired into? Can it be wired to the led awning light switch? Thanks Jim. Plus if possible explain how you ran wiring from under top step to the light control panel.

For the stair light I already had the wire under the trailer. I just spliced into the existing wires with my new wire and wired the LED lights in parallel covered the wires with plastic loom and zip tied them. I don't see why you couldn't tie it into the awning light as long as its 12V. You may have to noodle around to find a place to get up from under the trailer to the switch.
