Step support

Has anyone made step support to place under step when set up so step is more stable.

I made these so they are adjustable last picture shows them down.
I found that when using them that you just touch the ground with them when mounted on the bottom step because if you put too much pressure on the ground the steps will try to fold up. If I was to do it again I would mount them on the second step which would keep it from doing that.

Not sure why would someone need a step support?
If the steps are unstable why not just buy new steps?

It's not the steps per say that are weak.
It's the bouncing going in and out of the trailer via the steps.
If you support the steps the trailer has far less bounce when going up and down the steps.

====================

Guess I never noticed that problem because I always added BAL jacks just in front of the axle (by the steps).
Thanks for the explanation.

Now if someone can come up with a entry door that fully opens 180° and quiet closes I could get a nap or two!

Mine is more like YOUROO except I also place a board the width of the steps on top of bottle jack, works great.

Hey onetonford how do you adj them up and down. Do you just turn the bottom pad to extend them?

This looks great and simple to do. Are they truck bed cargo bars?
