Stick on level

Looking for a good stick on level. One that can tell me how many inches to raise up to level .Also the best way to make sure TT is perfectly level before I apply them? Also where the best place to put them. I realize This is by no means a hi- teck ? But I'am sure you guys will have a lot better ideas then I would Thanks any input would be great

Best way is to check using a hand held level. I used the bubble in the stick-on level guide but got a false reading. Later when I moved my TT to a new spot I found out that the first spot was not as level as I thought.

Put a hand held level on the floor of your TT to get it perfectly level. We bought our stick on levels at Wally world. But instead of just sticking them on, we used screws to attach them. Way too easy for them to fall off or get bumped and then they're not level anymore.

I've found leveling off the floor is not very reliable, moving the level to different places with in the trailer it will show's different readings all the time. I go off the frame up front and the rear bumper, then check the counter close to the fridge because ultimately it's the fridge that needs to be level for proper function.

I also used a level on the floor then stuck them on the street side front corner. That way you can easily see them when you hop out of your truck and while working the tongue jack.

LOL! Too funny!

I've had the sticky levels on our previous TT, and DW now uses the hand-held level inside on the floor and fridge, while I adjust up or down. Then, I go inside and lay down on the bed. If I don't feel like I'm rolling downhill when I turn over, then it's close enough for me.

I have found the cheap stick on levels get me darn near enough to be good enough. ITheyt also give the DW something to reference, regardless of how true to level they are.

Or you can pour a beer into a cold tall glass, set it in the middle of the floor, and use it like a bubble level !!! Once level ...enjoy...............

I use a four foot level on the rear bumper then on the floor inside the trailer running fore and aft.

Now that's a great suggestion! I'm going to use that
On the next trip.
Can't wait to see the expression on the dw face when I do it!

Be careful that while on your trip you don't trip and spill that beer. of course if you do it will run to the low corner so you will know which end to raise

I like the beer idea...

I've done the stick on level thing..tried 2 different kinds and don't find either reliable - they'll get you "close" but not close enough for me and they do fall off.

I have an app on my ipod and an 11 year old son that I send into the trailer and he puts it on the counter and directs me from there. Works very well for front/back level but side to side is still a challenge at times (i'm not moving the TT more than twice to get it level)

I used stick on levels on our Bayside Pop-up with slide, and continued the tradition with my new 2012 TT. Used a 6 foot level on my paved driveway, got the trailer positioned, checked level on table, counter, floors front and back, side to side--was pretty good from all angles, so put one stick on leveler on front passenger side where electric support button is, and 2nd one on rear of rig. When I pull into campsight, I do of bit of 'hopping in and out' to check positioning because I am now a solo camper--the 8 lb dog has figured that part of helping me out yet--but the stick on levelers give me a great idea about how close 'or far off' I might be!

I just visited my TT and the stick-on level is not level again. It's possible that it knocked slightly when the propane tank cover was removed with it being on the electric tongue jack. TT is in service getting some wish list items taken care of. Might add a couple of lscrew on levels to the list....

x2. This is what I do as well. The trailer frame is the only really reliable reference for levelling.

Of course, the effort you put into levelling the trailer depends on how tired and / or thirsty you are! Park up, open a beer, and put it on the floor. If it doesn't spill, you're good!!

It is all about comfort...
Per Dometic regarding level of the refrigerator: Level to where the RV is comfortable to live in, no noticeable sloping floors or walls.
Per Norcold: Within 3 degrees side to side and 6 degrees front to back when facing the front of the refrigerator. A 3 degree tilt equals a little over 6 inches in 10 feet.

I think most of us can eyeball level to that degree. So, use whatever method makes you comfortable. For me, the stick on levels get me darn close enough. They are easy and quick. I'd rather spend my time relaxing with a beverage.
