storage box mod

I just wanted to share my latest mod. I installed a storage box behind the LP tanks on my wildwood rig. Here are some photos. It also added security for the battery.

Nice! Where did you get the box? And, is it lockable?

I did this to, works great for carrying the gen and gas or whatever when we don't need the gen.

Both of those boxes look nice, thanks for sharing.

I'm planning on installing a storage box on the TT we have on order, but would like one a bit wider. Am I correct that if you draw a line from the corner of the RV to the hitch ball, anything inside that would be safe from hitting the TV in a turn?

Those boxes look real nice. If a battery is being kept inside, be sure the box has vent holes in places. As noted by others here, unvented batteries have a tendency to go boom!

Thanks. Yes the box has a lock and I will be adding a light. As far as where I got it...... I got it at Harbor Freight. I fabricated the brackets out of aluminum extrusion. I do agree about the battery storage having vents. The battery is not inside this box.

Great job on both boxes. How hard is it to get to the batteries when needed? Is there some sort of quick release or do you have to unbolt it?

Not very hard at all, remove 4 bolts inside and there you are. Direct access to R&R or maintain the battery. I just had a camping trip to Carpinteria CA. and got a chance to use the box. It worked out nicely.
