Stove cover for 2 burner w/ knobs on top

I know there are a few helpful threads about making a handy stove cover with cutting board and add non slip rubber backings. These threads and pics have all been for stoves with the knobs below the counter and I would think the cutting board fits nice and level (not sure about my style stove) Has anyone done this for this type of stove or have any pics?

So i bought the largest cutting board walmart had, its made of bamboo. then i took some left over cedar for the sides. then i counter sunk the holes to attach the box to the bottom of the cutting board and used wood glue also. there is a slight lip where the cutting board curves in but i sanded doen the corner of the box and dont even notice it. i built the box around the stove and the mounted the cutting. oard to it. this causes it to be a tight fit and doesnt slide around

I was wondering if you could tell me roughly the dimensions of the box if you remembered? The one online is 20 1/2" long and my stove looks almost identical to yours and I think that is gonna be too long. Just curious until I have time to go measure it.
