Well, I too like this idea, but not sure that it is worth the trouble right now. The piezo-electric igniter is working just fine so I think we will put this mod on the "back burner" (pun intended) until we need to replace it.

This mod is well suited for those of us who had no igniters at all on our stoves. But if I had one of those piezo "clickers", I'd probably change it out too.

Completed this mod today. Only took about 1hr.
