Suburban range grate Deluxe

The DW and I have an issue with the thin wire grate shown in the photo. Our coffee pot tips over if not centered perfectly. Turns out Suburban makes a DELUXE heavier and I think better design. Ordered one but they come in a set of two. Wonder why? Should get it tomorrow.
Next, the DW doesn't care for the clear acrylic range top cover as it scratches easily and rattles like crazy driving. She has all kinds of wedges to silence it. The dealer adjusted it but still rattles. So I am going to make a cutting board cover like the one shown in another Mod/Upgrade. I especially like his idea and use of rare earth magnets to hold the cover in place.

Picked it up the other day and easily swapped out the wire one. First test next week on a trip to Yosemite. Still wondering why we had to buy 2???

Maybe someone with the same style stove would buy the second one from you.
If I had the same stove I would be offering to purchase it right now!

Yes, I could put it up on the For Sale forum, but the DW wants to see how this wears first. The porcelain grate may crack and chip after time and we would need the second one.

Good point. Hadn't considered that. You would like to think it would last, but these days......😕
