Great idea for covering the stove, our old Edgewater did not have a cover over the stove and we always said we need one and now that our V-Lite has one well as has been said they are pretty cheap so I think we will start looking for a cutting board to modify. Man I love forums for the ideas people come up with..

Stove top cover

This is a stove top cover I made some years ago. Very simple to do. Plywood, formica, wood glue, contact cement for formica. It has outlasted three TT. The edge trim was made from 1/2" X 2" fir trim

The feet came from plastic door stops cut off the right length with the screws already embeded to screw into the wood edge.

It has to be stored when you are on the road.

Wal-mart has a "Paula Dean" cutting board ($26.97) that fits nicely over the standard RV stove (you have to add small legs or spacers).

Save more on counter space

As we all know the counter space is very limited, we just purchased a folding collapsible dish rack from Macy's dept store with Martha Stewart's name on it, very compact, nice color folds up nicely and goes foe $29.99.

My D/W say it is one of the best items we have purchased for the "ROCKY" 8285WS.

New update on the space saving dish rack!

I stated above about a space saving dish rack from Macy's with Martha Stewart's name on it.

Well I just returned from BED-BATH AND BEYOND and they have the same folding dish drain rack that folds up for space saving, the only difference is the color. Martha Stewart's is AQUA and the same one from Bed bath and Beyond is gray and $5.00 cheaper.

Thank you Daisy, I think I need one of those. Mine is small and don't fit my sink very well.
